1977 – Founded by Michelle DuBois, first class of thirteen Children’s House students in basement of Boxborough church
1980 – Added Lower Elementary program
1988 – Increased enrollment required move to larger space in building on Taylor Street, Littleton, where Upper Elementary was added
1991 – Moved to present location on Old Pickard Lane, Littleton, renting a portion of building that had been egg production facility for Cobb’s Chickens
1995 – Rented entire Old Pickard Lane building and added Middle School program
1999 – Purchased Old Pickard Lane property
2000 – Phase I of renovation and redesign of building
2001 – Phase II of facilities plan adds two Children’s House classrooms and other interior improvements
2002 – Addition of new Middle School wing
2006 – Adopted Strategic Plan that calls for addition of multi-purpose room/gym and renovations for art, music, and drama studios
2007 – Celebrated thirtieth anniversary of founding of Oak Meadow and one hundredth anniversary of the founding of the first Montessori school
2008 – Awarded AISNE & AMS Accreditations
2009 – Completed construction of The Rizzi Center for Athletics and Performing Arts and renovations of existing facility to include new Fine Arts Studio, community gathering spaces and administrative offices |
