  • Is a not-for-profit independent school governed by a Board of Trustees which has adopted a new five year Strategic Vision and Roadmap for 2011-2016

  • Follows the principles and philosophy of Maria Montessori
  • Received dual accreditation from the Association of Independent Schools in New England and the American Montessori Society in 2008
  • Offers a comprehensive curriculum including Spanish, physical education, art, music and drama

  • Integrates frequent and diverse field trips and guest speakers within the elementary and middle school programs. Children’s House enrichment takes place at school.
  • Offers a broad array of seasonal after school enrichment activities, as well as voice and instrumental music lessons
  • Is a founding Member of the Montessori Athletic Conference, a consortium of twelve Montessori schools in the area organized to offer interscholastic sports competition for grade 5-8 students in Cross-Country, Basketball, and Soccer
  • Celebrated our 30th anniversary of the founding of Oak Meadow Montessori School in 2007, and the 100th anniversary of the first Montessori school in San Lorenzo, Italy
