Lower Elementary Assistant Teacher

Oak Meadow Montessori School is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our Lower Elementary program. The Assistant works collaboratively and with a team of colleagues, administrators, and parents to nurture children both inside and outside the classroom.  Responsibilities include assisting in classroom activities as directed by the classroom teacher, preparing the classroom environment, making classroom materials, and providing for the safety and well being of students at all times.  Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, classroom experience and love working with young children.  Please email your resume and letter of interest to Joanna DeStefanis, Assistant Head of School, at jdestefanis@oakmeadow.org.

Part-time Spanish Teacher

Oak Meadow Montessori School is seeking a part-time Spanish teacher for our Children’s House and Lower Elementary students (age three through Grade 3) for the 2010-2011 school year. The ideal candidate loves young children, is passionate about teaching and is fluent in Spanish. Previous teaching experience is desirable as is knowledge of multiple Spanish cultures.  Effective classroom management skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are required. Familiarity with Montessori philosophy is a plus. Accepting Resumes

We continue to accept resumes from passionate Montessori teachers for all levels including Children's House, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School. A Montessori teaching credential is required and classroom teaching experience is preferred.  Fluency in Spanish is desirable, but not required.

Other openings may include Classroom Assistants and Lunch/Recess Helpers, and substitutes.
